UNBOUND VISIT July 4/5 – Thank you!!!!!
Dear Parishioners, On behalf of Unbound, thank you very much for welcoming us to your parish. Our hearts are full of gratitude for the generosity you have shown to the children, youth and the elders in our sponsorship program. Through your willingness to partner with Unbound, your parish community has taken steps toward a closer walk with Jesus in the name of the poor. We pray that members of your parish community who answered the call to sponsorship will be richly blessed by their experience. If you would still like to sponsor a child, youth, or elder, or make a donation toward UNBOUND ministries, please visit Fr. Knab’s UNBOUND outreach page at: https://www.unbound.org/MyOutreach/FrGeorgeKnab

FALL FESTIVAL CANCELLED FOR 2020
Due to health concerns amid the COVID-19 virus, we have made the decision to cancel the 2020 Fall Festival. The safety of all volunteers and visitors takes precedence this year. We look forward to a great event for 2021 and will pray for creative, new ways to reach out to others while social distancing.
One of our parishioners would like to hire a person to take care of her yard and her flower gardens and possibly other maintenance jobs around her house.
If interested, please contact Kim at the parish office 317-546-4065 ext 332 or email@example.com
SACRAMENTS AT MASSES
Our students who were scheduled to receive 1st Communion this past April and some of our adults who were to be Confirmed or received into the Church at Easter Vigil were unable to receive the Sacraments since Masses were not public.
Beginning this weekend, the students and adults will be scheduled to receive the Sacraments at some of our weekend and daily Masses throughout the summer. Some of our RCIA candidates will also receive the Sacraments at a special Mass on July 18.
Please keep all of the recipients, their families and sponsors, and their catechists in your prayers.

A PRAYER FOR PROTECTION IN TIME OF PANDEMIC
O Mary, you always brighten our path as a sign of salvation and of hope. We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who, at the Cross, took part in Jesus’ pain while remaining steadfast in faith. O loving mother, you know what we need, and we are confident you will provide for us as at Cana in Galilee. Intercede for us with your Son Jesus, the Divine Physician, for those who have fallen ill, for those who are vulnerable, and for those who have died. Intercede also for those charged with protecting the health and safety of others and for those who are tending to the sick and seeking a cure. Help us, O Mother of Divine Love, to conform to the will of the Father and to do as we are told by Jesus, who took upon himself our sufferings and carried our sorrows, so as to lead us, through the Cross, to the glory of the Resurrection. Amen.
Under thy protection, we seek refuge, O Holy Mother of God. In our needs, despise not our petitions, but deliver us always from all dangers, O glorious and blessed Virgin. Amen.
Adapted from the prayer of Pope Francis
PRAYER TO CARE FOR OUR COMMON HOME
Father of all, Creator and ruler of the universe, You entrusted your world to us as a gift. Help us to care for it and all people, that we may live in a right relationship– with You, with ourselves, with one another, and with creation.
Christ our Lord, both divine and human, You lived among us and died for our sins. Help us to imitate your love for the human family by recognizing that we are all connected— to our brothers and sisters around the world, to those in poverty impacted by environmental devastation, and to future generations.
Holy Spirit, giver of wisdom and love, You breathe life in us and guide us. Help us to live according to your vision, stirring to action the hearts of all—
individuals and families, communities of faith, and civil and political leaders.
Triune God, help us to hear the cry of those in poverty, and the cry of the earth, so that we may together care for our common home. Amen.
This prayer from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops is based on Pope Francis’ Laudato Si’: On Care for Our Common Home
POPE FRANCIS’ PRAYER INTENTION FOR JUNE 2020 – The Way of the Heart
We pray that all those who suffer may find their way in life, allowing themselves to be touched by the Heart of Jesus.
